Day 48, A Pathway for Halloween!

“Do you believe in destiny? That even the powers of time can be altered for a single purpose? That the luckiest man who walks on this earth is the one who finds … true love?”
~Dracula (1992)

Except for chiropractic, I got all of these reminders done this morning.  What a beautiful day for Halloween!
The most important reminder is to Eat No Added Sugars.  There are some sweeteners in Orgain.  However, they are okay.

My pathway to the library and park was fringed with fantastic fall trees.  I love living in Colorado.

Diet Diary

Except for lysine, I ate all my nutrients.  I may lose a bit of weight, which is okay.

Today’s weight reading was smack on my goal!  Of course, today is the beginning of the most challenging time of year to maintain or lose weight.  As I begin this stabilization period, I pray that I will stay the same or lose weight until New Year’s Day.
I started by not eating any Halloween candy today.  Mini Joy is a confection itself.  It is also a sweet experience walking to the library, as you can see from the beautiful trees along my path.
I got another library book today, this time Tom Ziglar’s Choose to Win.  Tom is Zig Ziglar’s son.  I have chosen to win the battle with my weight, and so far, I have reached my goal.  However, I know the war is only half-won.  If I can maintain my loss through the Christmas season, that is the other half.  There is an additional fight beyond that, but perhaps I will call it something new.
I am intrigued by a library book I started days ago called, Make Your Brain Smarter, by Sandra Bond Chapman, Ph.D.  She believes that strategic attention, integrated reasoning, and innovation will strengthen your prefrontal cortex and keep your brain functioning longer.  Will you help me incorporate these practices into my daily routine?  I have been focusing on memorization, which she says is less important.
Please bless my readers in their challenges.
