Day 28, Eliminating Excessive Hunger

“If you want to eliminate hunger, everybody has to be involved.” ~Bono.

My weight loss has been incredible.  This morning, though, I had a hypoglycemia attack, which landed me on the bathroom and then the kitchen floor.   It forced me to break my fast with almond milk.  However, losing on four consecutive days without gaining any back is a spectacular achievement.

Today is Day 28 of our journey.   I have lost 3.35 kilos or about 7.4 pounds and have 1.45 kilos yet to remove about 3.2 pounds.  That means I am about 70% there.

The almond milk appears to have taken care of my hypoglycemia.  I am upright again.

I have a bit of a headache.  That could be dehydration.  Let me have some water, too.

The headache is lifting.  Let me take some butterbur for it.  There.  I also took my thyroid medication and SAMe.

Breakfast

I slipped and added too many chia seeds.  That must have been my hunger talking.  However, the green drink still tastes okay.  The seeds make it extra thick.  If you want it saltier, use more of the regular V8 and less of the low sodium.  Half and half is a tasty combination.  I took some evening primrose oil, too, to control eczema.

Visits

I am planning to visit the neighbors this afternoon.   My husband did not want his son to come over this morning, so I canceled their visit.  He said he did not sleep well.  That is no surprise since he is sleeping on the living room floor.  He says he does that because he is afraid of falling out of bed.  I considered getting bed rails.  However, he does not want them.

The Tarp

I did get the tarp he said he did not want.  Sure enough, he does not want it.  He does not even want to try it.  So it is sitting around unused.  I can probably find some other use for it.  We can cover the patio furniture pieces when we move them to the basement cage.  I need to get a lock and chain for it.

We must move the patio furniture off the patio by the end of the year for building construction.  My husband’s son said he would help us move.  Maybe, I can ask him to help me buy the chain and lock.  Home Depot has too many options.  I am not sure how to get the right sizes.

I have almost finished my green drink.  Even with that and the almond milk, my hunger is still severe this morning.  I have lost a lot of weight quickly.  That is a dieter’s dream.  However, I wonder if it is best for my body.  It is less than two pounds a week, so I am probably okay.  I usually take it much slower, though.   What would curb my hunger until I visit the neighbors, where I am likely to eat their nuts so fast I will appear ravenous?

Fat Bomb

Let me have a fat bomb like I mentioned one on Day 3.  See the diet diary below for the ingredients.  Of course, a fat bomb could bomb my diet, but I am more concerned about my hunger right now.  This is a high-protein piece of candy.  Consider putting it in your repertoire when you need a treat that will satisfy your appetite for calories, protein, and chocolate.   You can make a smaller piece than this if you are concerned about the number of calories.  Mix the ingredients and add enough water–no baking involved.  It helps if your coconut oil is liquid, or nearly so, as ours is.  Otherwise, you can heat it slightly.  Please do not boil it.

That took care of my hunger.  I may not need anything until I go to the neighbors.  I may have some cultured veggies, though, later on, for their probiotics.

Walk

It is 9:58 AM–time for my walk to the library and park.  I can probably wear my size 6 pants.  Let me see if they will fit.  They are a bit tighter than I like, but I will wear them.

The weather is still beautiful.  I did not even need a jacket.

I ate some lunch and spent time with the neighbors.  Since returning home, I have read, taken a nap, and watched some football with my husband.  I ate more today than I have lately, which I am sure will affect my weight loss.  However, with my incredible hunger and the symptoms I had this morning, I probably needed it.

I am still wearing my size six pants.

Diet Diary

This morning’s almond milk gave me too much calcium.  Too many mixed nuts yielded too much selenium.  However, I think I will live anyway.

The above graph shows calories consumed for the past four weeks:  green is fat, red is carbs, and blue is protein.  You can see the spike for today.

Prayer

Evening PRAYER

Dear Lord,

I had more calories today than I have recently.  I think things will turn out fine.  Thank you for helping me lose so much weight recently.

Lord, I hope my readers will see how much Cronometer can help them.  I am feeling kind of tired tonight.

MORNING PRAYER

Dear Lord,

My husband asked me to order him some fried shrimp last night.  It came with buttered French bread.  He offered some to me.

Since I could perceive that much of his enjoyment was in sharing the meal, I went ahead.  I gained back some weight this morning.  However, I plan to get back into my strategy and go on without berating myself.

I got a shower this morning.  The hypoglycemic symptoms that plagued me yesterday morning are gone.  The excessive hunger I felt yesterday has disappeared.  I may not achieve my October 25th, 2020, deadline.  However, I believe I can still reach my ideal weight by January 2nd, 2021, and probably sooner.

Lord, thank you for your loving care.  Please bless my readers also.

Amen.
