When we’re happier with a positive mindset, we tend to make healthier decisions, including those that lead to weight loss—such as saying no to junk food, getting enough sleep, moving more, taking care of your body and eating healthy.
Wow! In two weeks, I have lost 1.8 kilos (almost four pounds). I did not expect to do so well. However, I had the right process, which I am committed to, not the exact amount I will lose. That is kind of a surprise. My metabolism must be hot. Intermittent fasting can raise metabolism and seems to have done so for me.
If you have not committed to intermittent fasting yet, you may want to consider it–the shaded portions on the graph show when I was fasting. At the chiropractor’s today, the assistant said I looked very pretty. She thought it was my bright colors and my fluffy, recently washed hair. I told her I was happy. It was even more than that.

I do not know if you can see a four-pound loss, but my cheeks do not cover my eyes now when I smile.
Here is what I looked like five days ago.
You may not be impressed, but I am. My Levis also fit me. I only have one other pair of jeans, so that is a big deal! According to the scale, I am 37.5% done with my diet. Yet today is only Day 15 of 110.
The Same Food
Hopefully, that shows progress. I ate the usual today. To see the ingredients, see the diet diary below. It shows some variation from recent days but not much. If you have a balanced diet, you can eat the same thing every day. I do not mean that literally, but you know what I mean. You do not want to literally eat the same food you consumed yesterday. Yesterday’s food is on its way to becoming fertilizer.
I hope you enjoyed my sense of humor. Now that I am happy again, my sense of humor is coming out.
I Am Committed
Last night was a bit challenging. I was thinking of questioning my diet. Why I would be that wacked-out, I do not know. It is just that second-guessing has been my way for years. It is deadly. Last night, I said, “My mind is made up.” Today, I say the same thing.
I am eating my repast. I want to start my fast right after eating. There. I created another 18-hour fast. I will call it Celebration Fast–celebration for my weight loss so far. It is also my husband’s birthday tomorrow. We will order pizza.
This time, I got all of my vitamins and minerals except a bit of salt. I could have some sauerkraut to fix that. However, I want an ample potassium/sodium ratio for the sake of my blood pressure. I am a bit short on lysine, but I will let that go today. I prefer at least 45 grams of protein. However, being short today will not be consequential. Later, I will look at my Trend report to see how I am doing on average. All four nutrient balances look balanced. The green drink helps out with that, as long as I include a zinc supplement. I took a 22-mg zinc supplement. The green smoothie helps me get almost everything, so I highly recommend it while on a nutritarian diet.
